"Awakened Dreams",
Chérif THIAM is part of the second generation of the "School of Dakar," an artistic renewal movement born in Senegal at the dawn of independence. His paintings belong to the realm of the fantastic. The artist's surreal universe immerses the viewer in a poetic world where fabulous animals, magical baobabs, genies, and chimeras offer the opportunity to experience incredible stories to those who contemplate his works. Cherif THIAM's artworks are included in numerous public and private collections.

59TH INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION
"The 59th International Art Exhibition will take place from 23 April to 27 November 2022 (pre-opening on 20, 21 and 22 April), curated by Cecilia Alemani." As the first Italian woman to hold this position, I intend to give voice to artists to create unique projects that reflect their visions and our society ”, Alemani has declared.
Cecilia Alemani is a curator who has organized many exhibitions of contemporary artists. She is currently Director and Chief Curator of High Line Art, the program of public art of the urban park in New York, and is the past curator of the Italian Pavilion at the Biennale Arte 2017. "

ARCOmadrid 22.02-26.02.2023
"ARCOmadrid is Spain’s International Contemporary Art Fair, emerging as one of the main contemporary art market platforms since its foundation. In 2023 it celebrated its 42nd edition with the mediterranean at its core. The programme, ‘Mediterranean: a round sea’, curated by Marina Fokidis, with the advice of Bouchra Khalili, Hila Peleg and Pedro G. Romero, will hinge on the art scenes of the countries surrounding this sea, from north to south and coast to coast. Additionally, ARCOmadrid2023 will continue its regular programmes, completing the artistic contents with the General Programme as the main backbone of the Fair, made up of galleries selected by the Organising Committee. There will also be the ‘Opening by Allianz’ section curated by Julia Morandeira and Yina Jiménez, that presents young galleries and the ‘Never the Same. Latin American Art’ section, curated by Mariano Mayer and Manuela Moscoso, a section that will strengthen the historical ties between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art."
Art Paris 2023
"In 2023, Art Paris, the foremost spring festival for modern and contemporary art, will celebrate its 25th anniversary. The show will be held in the Temporary Grand Palais Éphémère from March 30 to April 2, 2023, and will comprise 130 modern and contemporary art galleries from nearly 20 nations.
This year’s Art Paris stimulates discovery and rediscovery with its two major sectors. The first sector, Solo Show, focuses on monographic shows, while the second sector, Promises, concentrates on emerging artists and young galleries. Art Paris 2023 will also examine two additional themes: Commitment, focusing on the French art scene, and Exile, based on the themes of dispossession and resistance."
