Chérif THIAM

Chérif THIAM is part of the second generation of the "Ecole de Dakar," an artistic renewal movement that emerged in Senegal at the dawn of independence. A former student of Pierre André Lods at the Dakar School of Fine Arts, Chérif THIAM also worked as a set designer at the Senegalese radio-television (RTS) from 1981 to

2011. His designs have been reproduced several times by the Manufactures des Arts Décoratifs in Thies. His works have been exhibited numerous times in Senegal and abroad and are part of several public and private collections.
