Elżbieta Murawska

Mrs. Murawska was born in Krakow. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She obtained a diploma at the Faculty of Graphics in the studio of prof. Henryk Tomaszewski. She worked as the chief graphic designer of the Fine Literature Department of the People's Publishing Cooperative (1873-1981), the chief graphic designer of the Children's and Youth Publishing House (1981-1988), the director of advertising and graphics at KP (1992), and in 1993 she was artistic and graphic supervision above the Sycyna magazine. From 1958, she collaborated with Warsaw literary publishing houses, incl.


Elżbieta Murawska showed her works at about 200 exhibitions of illustrations and graphics, including: Center Pompidou (exhibition of BIB laureates), Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava 1965, 1967, 1977, 1979, 1983,1991, Biennial of Graphics in Brno 1972, International Book Fair for Children in Bologna (many times), Havana, Hamburg, Hanoi, Cairo, London, Mexico, Paris, Tel-Aviv, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Touraine 1982, Viareggio 1984, Goteborg (Elka Galery) 1985 and 1987, Warsaw (Kordegarda) 1989, Brno 1995, Bari, Barcelona, ​​Brussels, Dusseldorf, Osaka, Paris, Stockholm.
